Our Story

Starshine.rw was founded in 2023 with a simple mission: to empower Rwandan artists by providing them with a digital platform to share their music with the world while ensuring they receive fair compensation for their creative work.

We recognized that many talented artists in Rwanda lacked access to proper distribution channels and fair payment systems. Our platform bridges this gap by offering a secure, user-friendly marketplace where artists can upload their music, set their own prices, and keep 80% of all sales revenue.

For listeners, we provide access to authentic Rwandan music across all genres – from traditional rhythms to modern Afrobeat, gospel, hip-hop, and R&B. Every purchase directly supports local artists and contributes to Rwanda's vibrant music ecosystem.
